Paid Media Strategist

GRAYBOX is seeking an experienced Paid Media Strategist to join our Marketing practice! This role is based at our hybrid-remote Portland office. We are a value-based agency and dedicated as a team and as individuals to being helpful, accountable, dependable, experienced, thorough, and effective. As a member of our marketing team, you’ll plan, define, and execute paid media strategies for our clients for both ongoing monthly marketing and new website launches. You’ll work collaboratively with our account strategist, junior strategist, and creative team to build cohesive strategies on a variety of platforms to meet our clients’ short and long-term goals.

You live and love PPC in the day-to-day, but you see the big picture and you can think beyond your individual role. We don’t need you to live and breathe SEO, but it would be awesome if you had a solid understanding of it.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of client goals and identify current paid media strategies to meet them

  • Build, optimize, and nurture complex PPC strategies on multiple platforms

  • Write amazing ad copy

  • Mentor, train and collaborate closely with our junior strategist

  • Collaborate closely with account manager to develop cohesive, goal-driven strategy

  • Collaborate closely with our creative team on visual elements to design attractive and effective ads

  • Stay on top of industry trends and platform updates to offer current, of-the-moment recommendations, tests, and tactics

  • Make realistic recommendations based on budget, and commit to staying on budget

  • Provide estimates for all phases of the marketing engagement, from research and discovery to implementation and data measurement

  • Collect, analyze, and present paid media data reports with insights and recommendations

  • Perform A/B tests on landing pages, design elements, etc.

  • Identify gaps and opportunities in technical SEO


Qualifications & Platform Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in paid media strategy

  • Agency experience required

  • Experience building and running campaigns on Google Ads, LinkedIn, Instagram & Facebook, Pinterest, Bing

  • Google Analytics expert

  • Google Tag Manager expert

  • Experience building reports with insightful recommendations

  • Experience making strategic, agile decisions based on data trends

  • BA/BS in marketing or related field
