GRAYBOX Ranks No.1872 on 2018 Inc. 5000 list

By GRAYBOX Alumni

GRAYBOX was recognized by Inc. magazine's 37th annual Inc. 5000 award, ranking at No. 1872 of the nation's fastest growing private companies. The Inc. 5000 award is an exclusive honor representative of the continual growth at GRAYBOX since its launch in 2009. GRAYBOX has received other prestigious recognitions as well, from the Davey Awards to the Hermes Creative Awards, and was recently ranked as the 18th fastest growing private company in the Portland-metro area by the Portland Business Journal for 2018. This is GRAYBOX's third time on the Inc. 5000 list, an honor that becomes increasingly harder to achieve with only about 25 percent of the top companies making a third appearance. There were 64 companies from Oregon that made the 2018 Inc. 5000 list, of which GRAYBOX ranked number 17.

"We're incredibly honored to be recognized by Inc. magazine again for the growth of our business. We're not in this for the growth, but rather to serve our client partners well," said GRAYBOX Founder Paul Weinert. "I think it's a testament to the effectiveness of our digital consulting services to be ranked again by Inc. Many thanks to our wonderful partners and our caring staff who make this sort of thing possible. I'm incredibly proud of this wonderful team."

GRAYBOX is honored to work with companies from varying industries and our success is a testament to the exceptional partners that we work with every day. We're excited and eager to tackle new projects and solve new problems in the next year.

The Inc. 5000 Methodology

The 2018 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2014 and 2018. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2014. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2017. The minimum revenue required for 2014 is $100,000; the minimum for 2017 is $2 million.
