White paper: HOW GRAYBOX CREATED A ‘SUPER CONFIGURABLE’ PRODUCT MODEL WITHIN ADOBE COMMERCE FOR MILLERKNOLL

MillerKnoll is a family of brands that include the venerable Herman Miller, Design Within Reach, and Knoll. One of their brands—Fully—has been a GRAYBOX client-partner since 2016. The brand sells ergonomic furniture (like chairs, height-adjustable desks, etc.) that are designed to encourage movement and help people feel their best at work. Our largest engagement with Fully was a 16-month endeavor to redesign and implement an enterprise-level experience to drive their DTC and B2B ecommerce business.

A primary challenge was figuring out the product model that was needed to support the purchasing experience. This ultimately necessitated the creation of a new product model within Adobe Commerce called the “super configurable” product.

In this white paper, we outline the creative and technology solution GRAYBOX employed to make this unique product model happen for Fully within Adobe Commerce. It’s a solution that has applications across the ecommerce spectrum for any brand with complex products needing customization.
