Portland Saturday Market
Website Redesign & Brand Development
Our Work
Portland Saturday Market
With a long history as a Portland institution, Portland Saturday Market is the leading non-profit marketplace in downtown Portland. GRAYBOX developed a new, beautiful, and easy to maintain website that highlighted the unique nature of the Portland Saturday Market while helping customers find the vendors they loved.
The site built by GRAYBOX was optimized to increase traffic both online and to the market every weekend. The project began with GRAYBOX's project manager meeting with stakeholders and decision makers for Portland Saturday Market to collaboratively outline the direction and goals of the project. GRAYBOX then found a third-party theme that was responsive for even mobile to leverage for the site's structure and visual brand development. GRAYBOX front-end developer was prepping the files for Expression Engine, along with building custom features that will be present on the customer-facing end of the site. The back-end developer was then able to set up the server and modify the templates to have worked with the CMS. After the site was tested, additional code was added to track the traffic effectively once the site was officially launched and it has since been generating views from new and returning visitors.
We are very happy with the site and its many functions. It’ll be great for us. We also expecially appreciate your extra time to translate the confusing and technical elements into laymen terms for us during this process. It’s really helpful with our board and non-technical team.
