This must be the place

Strap in, get your helmet on, we're flashing back to the mid 90's; The mainstream web was a an exciting mess of blinking text, animated gifs, guestbooks and unrealized potential. Matthew got his start here, coding html sites for local organizations in the Twin Cities. Over the next two decades, Matthew spent his time immersing himself in the internet, interactive development, video production, animation, and technology hoping to find the right place for his creative and business endeavors.

This journey led Matthew from founding boutique creative agencies to developing patents on infrared camera technology for interactive video playgrounds and eventually to an exciting super group of dedicated agency professionals at Graybox! Matthew brings his wealth of expertise in web development, cms, interactive media, and all around good vibes to take this scrappy team of creatives to the next level.

When he's not at work, Matthew spends his time in his workshop, tinkering and working on art and interactive installations. His beloved fiancé, a couple cats and a dog, and a pile of half read sci-fi novels keep Matthew grounded and focused on giving his all to his life's work.

What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten? What did you think of it?

Molecular gastronomy. While I appreciate what the chefs are going for and consider myself an adventurous eater, the experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth so to speak. Foams and pearls and deconstructed food is not for me. I am more into traditional preparations and would take a heritage recipe for tripe over essence of carrot served in a quail egg floating in horseraddish concentrate.
