As part of PGE’s commitment to sustainability and helping move Oregonians away from CO2-producing energy sources, GRAYBOX and PAE Engineers assisted in creating a planning and education application for the building industry.
GRAYBOX facilitated cross-team discovery to gather business and user requirements through explorations of users flows that allowed for users to customize their building specifications. Throughout the wireframing process, areas where informative tips would be needed we identified, culminating in a user experience prototype to inform development. The application implementation was done using a lightweight server approach to serve static files for the browser to render leading to superior application performance.
GRAYBOX’s professionalism and expertise was crucial in helping to develop this unique, first-of-a-kind tool for improving design in the built environment. They helped guide a large and complex team towards a user format that was accessible to a broad customer audience.
